Summertime and the weather is sunny...finally!

I hope many of you are checking out our blog over the summer as you are at home or traveling. I'd love to hear what you've been up to and what exciting books you are reading. Have you read the book I bought yet? I am reading "Al Capone Does My Shirts." I think many of you would like it. Happy summer!!!

  6. Hi Maria. I am so glad you enjoyed the writing at Breadloaf and I know you'll come back to show me your fabulous projects. Are you enjoying "My Sister's Keeper?" I read that a while ago and hope to see the movie this summer. It is a great story, but very sad. I've been reading quite a bit and am off on vacation so I know I will read more. Check out "Gathering Blue." Adriel let me borrow it and it was great. Very similar to "The Giver." Also, the book Jevan gave me,"Elijah of Buxton" was really good. I'm trying to get into "The Host" but it is so different from the Twilight series and I can't seem to fall in love with it. Maybe if I read more, I will like it. I can't wait to hear what you read next!! Let me know what you think of "My Sister's Keeper" when you are done. Oh yeah, if you get a chance, "Al Capone Does My Shirts" was great!! Enjoy and happy summer!!

  7. Last night, well more like at dawn I finished "My Sister's Keeper". I was crying so hard my mom heard and came up to my room. She asked me if i had a nightmare and im like "no but i just finished the book and Anna died" so she started laughing at me and gave me tissues. I haven't gotten my reading list for summer yet but tomorrow my mom is getting paid and we might go buy them but I think we won't because i'm going to watch a soccer game in boston on sunday. I think it's Honduras vs. Spain. I'm really excited :)

  17. My dad has been to Guatemala before on business when we used to live in Honduras. I remember he would leave with his boss and he would come back with sooo much toys his bags would be over flowing. Of course his boss would let him because my dad used to work at this kind of bank where it was like a normal bank in a way but not really. It was more like a bank where different countries came to borrow money. For example if Costa Rica wanted to make a highway they would tell this bank we need 100,000,000 bucks and show the reason why and so my dad would analize the placce where the high would go and say either it was a good idea or not. He traveled a lot. Also I just finished reading "Miracles on Maple Hill". I didn't like it too much it was more like the books I read in 3rd grade. It was too easy for me.
