Almost Famous!

Sadly, the year is almost over and you are almost famous. Today I'll be sharing some of your insightful comments with the rest of the school staff. If there was one thing you'd like to say about the online discussions or about literature circles, what would it be?

    I would like to say about the online discusion because im glad that we have this because even though we have SFA in school,knowing what the book is about I feel that the online discusion can help us learn more about the book over the weekend when we dont have SFA.Also lots of kids that dont understand the question or have a question Mrs.newell is always there online for us.

    i think liture circles has helped us alot because we get more feedback then in the other sfa so now we do better also we get more independit work to practice for mcas.lastly with our jobs we always have something different

    i think liture circles helped because when we are not at school we can disscus at home and share what we think. Also i think liture helped me understand books a whole lot better and it keeps us busy.

    i think literature circles has helped me because when i first saterted i never talked or comented on the discussion,but now i am comenting fairly and most of the time.I am now part of the team.

    i absolutely agree with you thu, because the discussion in the computer has helped us alot in many things!!!!! also that Mrs. Newell i think deserves a reward. i learned so many things foe example to be confident and to believe in my self. i remember that in the beginning of the year i asked so many questions. I think b y the discussion it has helped me. i saw myself im prvong , also that the discussion flows it is not taking turns. i think in sfa the regular one it was like a routine. but in the liture circles it flows i like it because we handle it !!!!!!!! also that in the computer you can write what you think not wait until the next day and forget your fantastic question!!! so yeah Mrs. newell has been there for us!!!!

    I think the online discussion has helped us because sometimes when we have debates in class some kids don't get to say something and so they can go online and say it. Even though they dont talk in class Mrs. Newell knows that they have a pretty good understanding of the text. Also we get to discuss the book more, not only in class but also outside on our free time. Finally we're just not discussing with our group we're discussing with the whole class including Mrs. Newel and people all over the world get to see that we're doing a really good job and they see our improvements.

    what i think about lit circles is that it's better than regular SFA.Also the job helps me write better and listen better.Another reason I like the job is because it helps me see what the whole group thinks about the story.

    It is so rewarding as a teacher to hear the positive things you all have to say. At the beginning of each year I set a goal and it is often to encourage my students to love reading and talking about reading as much as I do...I think I've accomplished that goal this year with you. Even if you don't comment on the blog, I know you have a passion to do well in class and not let yourself or your classmates down-that is the true measure of success as far as I am concerned...so tomorrow we celebrate! Thank you for all giving me 110% this year and working so hard. I cannot wait to see you become successful adults and one day attend your high school...and then college graduations!!!

    dear all my 5th grade teachers, thank you for helping me achieve my goal!!! i have alot of more confidence!!!! also mrs.newell, mrs. gorgi,and ms. williams will miss you next year and when i am in high school and in college. {Hafford}!!!!! it was realy nice of all of my 5th grade teachers to take there time and help us succeed!!!! liture has helped me improve. thank very much!!! have a great weekend!!!

    im going to miss everyone so much especially the teachers. I'm glad Mrs. Georgy got to see our blog and be part of our outside of class discussions. Hopefully next year we'll still get to see mrs. newly, mrs.georgy, and ms.williams. It won't be the same but at least we'll be one year closer to finally graduating and moving on. I love all of you guys and Happy almost birthday Mrs. Newell!!!!! :)

    thank you. i agree with you i am a lovly young lady!!!!! well the year is alomost over and i learned so many new things!! 5th grade was fun, and the year whent so fast. i think that the bllog has helped me alot. i learn how to make great questions!!!!

    I'm sorry you missed the last day, but it was probably for the best since we had no power and most students went home anyway-not a great way to end the year. I think Stand and Deliver had a great message. Now maybe you understand why your teachers care so much about you. I would love to hear about what you are reading over the summer. I just finished a biography about Abraham Lincoln. I think Genesis would love it!!
